Clients require more space for their growing family and desire a more open, contemporary living area. The addition extends the form of the existing 1920's era cottage but is wrapped in a contemporary skin of metal panel. The rear, south-facing wall, is protected from the harsh summer sun by a lattice of operable louvered panels.
